A fresh brand for an established realtor, with a (blue) competitive edge
The question
How can we stand out in the street scene as a realtor, without being too flashy? How do we convince our customers that we will not lose our personal approach, even though we’re growing? And how can we implement a new logo, while remaining recognizable for our customers and in our region? The questions Vastgoed De Hertog asked us, combined specific concerns of a real estate agent with those of many companies that want to modify their brand experience.
The sparks
Why does a company suddenly feel ready to renew their brand? This question often leads us to the core of the matter. Vastgoed De Hertog started 10 years ago with Wouter De Hertog as the only independent real estate agent, but already counted 3 employees when they came to us. The unique personal approach Wouter was known for, needed to be translated into a personal approach that characterized a team. Starting with a strategic session, we looked for the true identity of this new agency. This lead the way to their mission, vision and values.
Vastgoed De Hertog became Hertog Makelaars, with a brand-new logo and a visual identity combining classic royal blue for class and electric blue for vibrancy. This fresh identity was translated into a refreshed website, sales panels, file folders, folding rulers, pens, key rings and stationary. We spread the news of the new name in Grimbergen through traditional door-to-door mail on 35,000 copies. This stunt immediately caused an increase of new properties, which led us to repeat this type of communication four times a year!
The result
Sometimes the answer to an unasked question is the most satisfying. In this case, we were only asked to design a new logo, but also suggested a new name: a name that reflects a team of real estate agents with class and ambition, without losing continuity. With a bright blue triangle, we enhanced their visibility in the streets of Grimbergen and gave them lots of room to keep on growing. From strategic advice to copywriting, from flyers to magazines: Hertog Makelaars trusts in Brandstichters to keep fuelling their fire.
